I used to like the unoffical until the changed it---dont like the [email protected] on the side and can only get rid of it by logging in which only keeps me on for about 20 minutes(sometimes I have to log on twice to get logged in

)....so I use the official though its about as user friendly as....well its not.

I guess I'm the opposite of everybody else, I much prefer the official as I find it much easier to find what I'm looking for - that said, I don't ever dig around in talk pages or look for statements from Gaile/Regina/whoever, so the most confusing parts are pretty much irrelevant to me.

I hate the official wiki because of who runs it, and because of the way it's used. The staff are all power hungry morons, and ANet keep using it like a chat room. zzz.

The official one is better formatted. It's neater and doesn't have adverts flashing everywhere.
I have both bookmarked though and tend not to care which one I go to when checking something. If I don't find anything useful on one I'll check the other.
Both are riddled with rather stupid hints though.

I like the new one due to all the hard work I put into it at the start and I like the old one because it was the original GW resource.

I used the old one when i started playing(2 years ago) because had more data.
Now I use the new one; better formatting and no adds is FTW.

The constant ads on the unofficial is annoying. Tbh, I haven't been on the unofficial for a year now.

My concern is which of the wikis would have the better information. Since wikis are edited by the users, my thought is that the one with the more users would be updated more frequently and would therefore have the better information than the one that has less users and it seems like a lot prefer the official over unofficial.

The information contained in each is comparable. I haven't noticed a trend for better information either way. Then again, I don't really pay attention to which wiki I happen to be reading.
And it's not like you can't read both.

I use the official one because it's the only one that will populate in my web browser when I use the "/wiki" tag. Plus it's formatted like Wikipedia used to do, so I know how to browse it easily (or use it, rather).

Only the official now a days. I used unofficial long before.

The official one is so clean now. And it has good info. Unofficial is ugly and has more spam I think.
